Didn't expect a 2600 cart to feel this tense, but juggling the meteor defense with the shuttle runs to beam up Atlantis survivors kept me glued to the joystick for an hour straight. The second phase where you're grabbing specimens while dodging fire gets hectic fast.
Rescuing the little aliens before the planet blows up is way more tense than I expected from a 2600 cart, and the tractor beam timing takes real practice. The two-screen loop had me hooked for a whole evening.
The two-part gameplay really got me — you dodge meteors in the Ark, then send a little shuttle down to beam up the escaping creatures before the planet blows. Took me a few tries to nail the timing on the tractor beam, but once it clicked I couldn't put the joystick down.
